During the talk, he will show meaningful artifacts from his time in the service at the Fort Campbell Army Hospital, comparing its design and features with Civil War era hospitals due to the consistency in design over a century. He will also reflect upon the reception of both active duty service members and veterans, during the Vietnam War and now.
