Join Washington Revels and Arab drumming and dance specialist Karim Nagi for an “Arab Folk Dance Intensive” workshop. Karim will guide participants through traditional group dances from the Arab world. These are not “performance” dances, but village community dances done by “The People” — adults and children of all ages — in social, celebratory, and spiritual group settings. Ages 7-adult/ all levels of dance experience (or no experience) are welcome. No special footwear, but no lose sandals, please. There is a $1.00 fee for tickets.
